Product Description:

Fixes components in precise alignment to one another by filling the adjoining gap (typically 1-5mm) with a dimensionally stable bonding agent. In a structure, the number of jointed surfaces can be reduced thus removing the chance of accumulative errors. Components can be permanently fixed, or by the use of release agent, removable from their moulded reference surface. Alternatively, a replication tool can be used to mould a reference surface to which a component is subsequently located. Components themselves may also be moulded totally from DWH material

Product Description:

Provides a low friction slideway or bore by moulding from a precision tool, or the mating component, to give accurate, repeatable component alignment. The material can be either caused to stick to the moulding surface or released by the inclusion of a micro-thin layer of release agent (Diamant separator liquid). The resultant surface is an exact replica of the tool surface even down to the finest surface texture.

Plastimetal adheres well to metal alloys and provides a high compressive and tensile strength plus high wear, abrasion, chemical, and temperature resistance.

Metal filler selection includes: - steel; aluminium; cast iron; copper; brass; bronze, ceramic etc. For application the viscosity can be adjusted from a liquid to a paste. Short cure time - Plastimetal can be mixed with a selection of alternative hardeners which either change the curing time, the consistency, the temperature resistance, the abrasion resistance or the load bearing capacity.
